The other day I found out that you can get the exact time of the sunset right on your phone with a weather app. So I tried it out, 8:45 was the calculated sunset time so I showed up early and setup to paint at the correct sunset time. Well, it turned out to be pretty dark at that time but I got through it before it was too unmanageable. Slight pinks and soft blues were nice but I turned my attention to the foreground instead. It's the first time I've included the giant oak to the right.
